Acceptable Use Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who creates links, QR codes, or link-in-bio pages through Tugay AKIN’s URLVIS service, on every plan including the free one, and to every destination those links point to.

Links resolve on your own domain, not ours. That does not make the destination your private matter alone: our infrastructure performs the redirect, so a destination that violates this policy is our problem too.

2. Prohibited uses

You must use the service lawfully. In particular, the following are prohibited:

• Creating links for phishing, fraud, fake payments, or brand impersonation.
• Redirecting to malware, unauthorized access, tracking, or theft of personal data.
• Running spam, unsolicited bulk communication, or campaigns that violate applicable communications legislation.
• Redirecting to child exploitation, illegal products/services, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Attempting to bypass the security scan, reverse engineer the service, or overload the infrastructure.
• Infringing others’ domain, trademark, copyright, privacy, or personality rights.

Changing a link’s destination after it has been approved, in order to send visitors somewhere that would not have passed the scan, is a violation of this policy in its own right.

3. How this is enforced

Enforcement is mostly automated and runs at several points, not only when a link is created:

• At creation: the destination is checked synchronously against blocklists, Google Safe Browsing, domain registration age, punycode and mixed-script tricks, deep subdomain patterns, and brand-impersonation rules.
• Shortly after creation: the destination page is fetched and classified by an AI model. A link can be held at this stage even if it passed the first check.
• Continuously afterwards: approved links are re-scanned on a schedule, so a destination that changes to something harmful after approval is caught rather than trusted forever.
• By a person: links held by the automated layers can be reviewed manually, and accounts can be suspended for serious or repeated violations.

Depending on the outcome a link is published, held (created but not redirecting), or blocked (permanently refused). We may hold, block, or remove links associated with risky or prohibited content without prior notice; in the case of serious or repeated violations we may suspend the account. Records necessary to assess legal notices and security requests may be retained.

This scanning is a security aid, not a guarantee. A safe address may be blocked by mistake, and a harmful address may go undetected. You remain responsible for the destinations you publish.

4. Reporting abuse

If you have received a URLVIS-powered link that you believe is fraudulent or harmful, report it to [email protected]. You do not need an account to report a link.

To let us act quickly, please include:

• The full short link, exactly as you received it.
• Where you encountered it (SMS, email, a social platform, print) and roughly when.
• What you believe is wrong with it — a screenshot of the destination helps most.

We aim to answer abuse reports within one business day. Reports about an imminent threat — an active phishing page collecting credentials — are handled ahead of everything else, and the link can be blocked before we reply to you.

Anyone can also run a destination through the public checker at https://urlvis.com/check without an account; it uses the same engine described above.

5. Appeals

Automated decisions are wrong sometimes, and a wrongly blocked link is a real cost to a legitimate business. If your link was held or blocked and you believe that was a mistake, write to [email protected] with the link and a short explanation of what the destination is. A person will look at it.

If an account was suspended, the same address is the right one to use. We will tell you what triggered the decision, unless doing so would tell someone actively abusing the service how to avoid detection.

6. Changes and language of this policy

The prohibited uses in this policy match the Acceptable use section of the Terms of Service; where this policy adds detail about enforcement, reporting, and appeals, that detail is part of the Terms. We may update this policy as new abuse patterns appear; the date at the top of this page shows the current version.

The English version of this policy is authoritative. Translations into other languages are provided for information only; in case of any conflict, the English text prevails.
