Change where a printed QR code goes — without reprinting it

A QR code printed on a menu, a poster or a package is expensive to change: you reprint. It only has to be that way if the code encodes the destination directly.

The code points at your link, not at the destination

Every URLVIS link gets a QR code that encodes the short link on your own domain. The destination sits behind it, in a record you can edit. Update the destination and every already-printed code starts leading somewhere new — same paper, same sticker, same sign.

The link keeps its identity and its history

Changing a destination is an edit, not a delete-and-recreate. The link keeps its id and its slug, so the printed code still matches. Click history, country and device breakdowns and QR download records all stay attached — you do not lose a campaign’s numbers to change where it points.

The new destination is screened too

A changed destination runs through the same fraud check as a new link, and the link is re-queued for deep scanning. If the new target is flagged, it does not quietly go live on your brand’s hostname.

What this is not

  • Scans that already happened cannot be redirected retroactively — only future scans follow the new destination.
  • If the new destination fails the fraud check, the change is refused and the link keeps pointing at the previous one.
  • The free plan includes 5 QR downloads per month; unlimited QR starts on the paid plans.
